The Youth Chorus will have the opportunity to perform at the Montrose Pavillion alongside the Valley Symphony Chorus (also conducted by Katy Kristoffersen)! An incredible opportunity for younger singers. Choristers will have the opportunity to focus on more challenging choral music, working with parts, rounds and other advanced techniques.
Singing alongside an adult auditioned choir of 60+ singers and professional guest musicians is an opportunity of a lifetime!
Students Will…
- Learn vocal techniques through fun warm-ups
- Receive sheet music to learn about and use
- Gain confidence with their voices as we explore a variety of musical styles
- Learn about and creatively implement harmony, arranging, and other musical concepts
- Perform collaborative pieces alongside the Valley Symphony Chorus and professional guest musicians
The Youth Chorus will join the Valley Symphony Chorus for performances on April 26th and April 27th, 2025 at the Montrose Pavilion

| Rehearsal Locations | There are two rehearsal location options available for your convenience. LOCATION 1: RIDGWAY United Church of the San Juans 295 N Lena St, Ridgway, CO 81432 LOCATION 2: MONTROSE Montrose Methodist Church 19 S Park Ave, Montrose, CO 81401 With the exception of performance week, children are only expected to attend one rehearsal per week. Pick your location! |
